Dubai International Boat Show March 2023

With more than 400 boat, yacht and other watercraft brands on show, the 29th edition of the Dubai International boat show (DIBS) is one of the largest and most exclusive of its kind.

Attracting exhibitors from over 55 Countries, this is a must see event if you want to see the latest innovations and launches.

The boat show is held over 5 days from 1st March 2023 to 5th March 2023, and is expected to be attended by a wealth of boat owners, captains, distributors and like minded enthusiasts.

This year is set to be bigger and better than previous years, as superyacht exhibitors are lining up to showcase to some of the world’s most notable yacht enthusiasts.

Why Dubai?

Convenience: The Middle East is home to 12.6% of all Super yachts (source: https://www.boatshowdubai.com/#marine) and the majority of the global industry leaders already have a base here.

Luxury: Dubai is synonymous with luxury at every level, with the only 8 star hotel in the world the “Burj Al Arab”m the world’s tallest building, the “Burj Khalifa” and one of the largest shopping mall with all the luxury brands on show within its 1200 shops, and it’s own ski slope, ice rink and aquarium, Dubai really is a luxury go to destination.

Climate: with sweltering summers and warm winters, hosting a boat show in this beautiful Country which is situated on the Southeastern coast of the Persian Gulf, almost guarantees the weather.

Waterfront Investment: The Middle East boasts one of the highest investments globally in waterfront property and developments. With more people living so close to the water, in these developments, we know they are also looking for water toys and yachts to compliment their luxurious lifestyle.

What will be at the Dubai International Boat Show?

Every year, the Dubai International Boat Show reveals new innovations and launches, but also showcases a wealth of other things relating to the marine world, and the world of luxury.

You can expect to see superyachts, concept yachts, interior designs, exterior enhancements, tenders and water craft of course. But you may also see some unrelated luxury items, such as Jewellery, Watches, Swimwear, Footwear and Supercars too.

Taking place in the Dubai Harbour, there is plenty of space both in the water (up to 500 boats of all descriptions and sizes) and in the marina, where there is a dedicated on-land exhibition area.

Over 25,000 visitors will be able to see exhibitors from industries including Yacht designers, yacht builders, shipyards, boat parts manufacturers and yacht service providers too.

Earlier this month, we listed the world top 10 biggest yachts, which included the 162 metre “Dubai”, by Platinum Yachts. This superyacht is currently moored in the Dubai Marina, so you stand a good chance of seeing her there.

The even longer superyacht  “Falk Al Salamah” at 164 metres long, is berthed close by in the Muscat Port on the Oman Gulf.

Getting there:

The first step is to make sure you book your tickets, and the official website for DIBS gives you detailed information on pricing, availability, who is exhibiting, and also has a detailed plan of where these exhibitors are.

Of course, you may also need accommodation, and as you can imagine, hotels are booking up fast. When we checked booking.com there were still a few places available to book, which are close to the Marina, to help make the most of the whole DIBS experience.

Don’t forget to keep coming back where we will update the site with images and videos from the event, and download our mobile app for the latest news and events on the go.
