Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Round Up
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is a premier event in the yachting industry, owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and produced by Informa Markets.
It is recognised as the largest in-water boat show in the world, attracting over 100,000 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors representing 52 countries with more than 1,300 boats on display in 2023.
This year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show was held across seven locations in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, between October 25th and 29th 2023. The boat show was hosted by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and produced by Informa Markets. The seven locations were the Broward County Convention Center, Bahia Mar Yachting Center, Hall Of Fame Marina, Las Olas Marina, 17th Street Yacht Basin, Pier 66 Marina, and Superyacht Village at Pier 66 South.
With yachts, and super yachts galore on show across this huge venue, a meet and greet held on the Friday, where venue goers could say hi to Sport Fishing Championship TV hosts Michelle Dalton, Krystal Hall and Peter Miller (Peter is the 3 time world sailfish champion), VIP experiences at the Windward Club and family-friendly programming, bars and restaurants all bathed in glorious sunshine, this really was the go to event!
The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show featured luxury yacht debuts like the Azimut Grande Trideck which introduced its “three decks in one” concept, the Ocean Alexander 35R which prides itself on unwavering safety combined with a great use of space and of course luxurious too, and the Feadship Boardwalk owned by Tilman Fertitta, a serial yacht owner and design perfectionist.
This annual boat show attracted over 100,000 visitors, with 49% from outside Florida. Non-local visitors and exhibitors spent an estimated total of $47.3 million during the event.
