Lady Trudy: A Luxury Yacht for a Discerning Few
Yacht Informer had the honour of being invited to attend the annual F1 Grand Prix taking place on the Circuit de Monaco. The annual race has been run since 1929; it is widely considered to be one of the most important and prestigious motor races in the world and is one of the races, along with the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, that form the Triple Crown of Motorsport.
We also had the pleasure of looking closely at the many super yachts moored in Port Hercules, the main port in Monaco, a popular destination for luxury yachts and cruise ships.
One of the fantastic yachts we had a chance to view up close was the Lady Trudy. Lady Trudy is a 42.6-meter (139.9-foot) luxury yacht that was built by the Italian shipyard CRN in 2011. She is designed to accommodate up to 10 guests in five luxurious cabins, and she is staffed by a crew of nine who will take care of their guest’s every whim.
She is powered by two Caterpillar engines that give her a top speed of 15 knots, and she has a cruising range of 3,800 nautical miles.
On-board accommodation
Lady Trudy’s five guest cabins are all beautifully appointed and offer the utmost comfort and luxury. The master suite is on the upper deck and features a king-size bed, a private bathroom with a Jacuzzi, and a large balcony with stunning ocean views.
A further four guest cabins are located on the main deck, each with a plush queen-size bed, a private bathroom, and a flat-screen TV.
Designer interiors
The interior of the luxury yacht was designed by the Italian interior designer Zuccon International Project. Zuccon International Project is an international yacht design and architecture studio based in Rome. The design studio was founded in 1986 by Bernardo Zuccon, and they have a team of experienced designers who specialise in the design of luxury yachts, villas, and hotels.
The Italian design team has a strong reputation for creating innovative and stylish designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Some of Zuccon International Project’s most notable projects include:
- The SD96 yacht, which was designed for Sanlorenzo and won the Best Motor Yacht award at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show.
- The Horizon Elena yacht, which was designed for Horizon and won the Best Custom Motor Yacht award at the 2022 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
- The Loft and Spa Borghese, which is a luxury hotel located in Rome.
The yacht’s interior is decorated in a modern style with a touch of elegance. The main salon is an ample, airy space with a feature fireplace, wet bar, and dining area that can seat up to 12 guests. There is also a sun lounge on the main deck with comfortable seating and a large TV. The yacht also has a sundeck with a Jacuzzi, a bar, and a barbecue, so there are plenty of options for guests to relax and socialise.
On-board activities
Lady Trudy offers a variety of fun activities for her guests to enjoy. The yacht has a well-equipped gym, a sauna, and a steam room. Guests can also enjoy swimming, sunbathing, fishing, and water skiing. Lady Trudy also has a tender that can be used to explore nearby ports and beaches.
She is available for charter in the Mediterranean Sea, the Caribbean Sea, and the South Pacific. The yacht can also be chartered for private events such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate retreats.
