MYBA Charter Show, Barcelona April 2023

The 32nd edition of the MYBA Charter show at the Marina Port Vell in Barcelona is one of the biggest of its kind in Spain, boasting an extensive range of exhibitors, yachts, agents, brokers and press. Attracting exhibitors from over Europe, this is a must attend event if you want to see the latest innovations and launches The boat show is held over 3 days from 24th April to 27th April 2023, and is expected to be attended by a wealth of boat owners, captains, distributors and like minded enthusiasts. This year is set to be bigger and better than previous years, with a focus on sustainability after a rethink during the pandemic. Originally, the MYBA Charter show was held in Genoa on the coast of Italy for almost 30 years, until it moved in 2017 to its new home in Barcelona. MYBA also hosts the annual chefs competition, which always proves to be a great watch, with astounding edible creations being created in front of you, which inspires other chefs in their kitchens on board their luxury yachts.

Why Barcelona?

Convenience: Barcelona on the coast of Spain is very easy to get to by car, train, boat or plane. Making the journey simple, and therefore an attractive destination to visit. Climate: Barcelona offers glorious sunshine most of the year, making it an ideal venue for any outdoor event, especially one so prestigious as the charter show. Other attractions: With nearby attractions such as the Sagrada Familia world heritage listed cathedral, the Gaudi art gallery and museum, Barcelona zoo and aquarium being the most popular, there is so much to do, see, explore and taste. Indulge in tapas at a local bar, and watch Flamenco dancing whilst you eat in a local restaurant. Whatever you fancy, Barcelona offers it all.

What will be at the charter show?

After the pandemic, all of us re-evaluated the way we behave and also what is important to us, and as a part of this personal growth, businesses also adapted to this new way of thinking, and with that in mind the Barcelona charter show is focusing on a bigger, better but more sustainable show. The superyacht chefs competition is a show highlight of course, alongside seminars and talks that help you charter the right superyacht for your next adventure. With brokers, yacht owners, suppliers, manufacturers and more in attendance, this high worth networking event is an opportunity to expand friendships and business relationships, with Barcelona as your spectacular backdrop. In 2022 we wrote about the top 5 best marinas in the world, and Port Vell, Barcelona was listed by us as one of the very best marinas globally.
