2023: A Year of Yachting Delights in Review with Yacht Informer!

2023 has been a phenomenal year for the luxury yachting industry overall. Yacht Informer has been at the forefront with our finger on the pulse, bringing you the latest news, yachting trends, and breathtaking vessels from every corner of the globe.

We have traversed oceans, hopped continents, and immersed ourselves in the vibrant world of luxury yachting, all to keep you informed and inspired. So, as we set sail into 2024, let’s take a moment to reminisce about some of the incredible yachting shows we have featured or even had the pleasure to experience in person this year:

Dubai International Boat Show: Kicking off the year in grand style, it dazzled with its opulent display of superyachts and the unveiling of groundbreaking innovations. We were particularly captivated by the majestic 89m “Here Comes the Sun” and the 93m “Lady S,” both masterpieces of design and engineering.
Palma International Boat Show: Spring blossomed with the Palma International Boat Show held in April, where the azure waters of the Balearic Sea provided the perfect backdrop for an array of elegant yachts. We were especially impressed by the 147-foot Aviva, a luxury motor yacht that was built by Feadship in 2017.
MYBA 2023 Boat Show: The prestigious MYBA 2023 Boat Show held in May in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, was a celebration of yachting excellence. We marvelled at the sheer scale and sophistication of the mega-yachts on display, including the awe-inspiring 146m Dilbar and the sleek and sporty Sailing Yacht A.
Monaco Yacht Show: The undisputed pinnacle of the yachting calendar, the Monaco Yacht Show, held in September, always impresses. This year was no exception, with a record-breaking 125 superyachts gracing the glistening waters of Port Hercule. The world’s largest superyacht, the 180m “SOMNIO,” made its stunning debut, leaving everyone speechless with its unparalleled grandeur.
Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show: The year culminated in the yachting extravaganza that is the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October. With over 1,300 boats displayed across seven locations, this show had something for everyone, from sleek catamarans to opulent superyachts. We were particularly drawn to the emphasis on sustainability, with several boatbuilders showcasing their latest eco-friendly innovations.

But beyond the breathtaking yachts and dazzling displays, what truly made these opulent shows memorable were the connections we forged with passionate individuals who share our deep love for the sea and the graceful vessels that sail upon them.

We met with industry leaders, designers, captains, and fellow yachting enthusiasts, each with their own unique stories and perspectives. These encounters enriched our understanding of the yachting world and reminded us of the incredible community that binds us together.

As we raise a toast to 2023, we at Yacht Informer want to express our gratitude to everyone who made this year so unforgettable, especially in the elegant way the industry has shaken off the hangover in the wake of the pandemic.
